GFL PATH TO THE FINALS

THE Dragons enter this do-or-die clash as true premiership contenders after their thumping win over the Lions.

The victory silenced all critics, while the Eagles, who lost to in-form St Joseph's in the qualifying final, must use this second chance to redeem themselves if they're any chance to end their 26-year premiership drought.

Although the Eagles should enter this sudden-death clash with confidence given their strong form over the past three months, the black and red camp cannot forget the 84-point hiding Bell Park dished up in Round 6.

Leading the Dragon's pressure that day was debutant Tyler Stack, who slotted three goals and provided a fierce flow of running, restricting Newtown & Chilwell to just four goals for the match.

Ryan Gamble is set to return for the Eagles after a two-week absence, while Simon Rau and Jacob Spolding are also in contention. The Eagles' depth should get them over the line.

Tip: Newtown & Chilwell by 10 points.
