Once again this is our last fundraiser of the year so make sure you sell your tickets as we try and beat last years effort of 127 tickets sold.
Eftpos Machine
The ad for our Eftpos Machine wasnât a joke, we actually do have one at the club now. Its costs $2 to use and withdrawals depend on money available at the time.
Star Cat comes to Corio
Geelong Norm Smith medallist Steve Johnson attended an Auskick clinic last Sunday at the club. Its great to see Geelong sending a star player to our club rather than a rookie or someone about to be delisted like previous players sent to our club. Steve helped out with training drills with our youngsters in Auskick and from all reports the kids were very excited to have the gun Geelong forward turn up to help them out.
Free Football is over
The time has come, the coaches this week will be given a list of all players eligible to play due to paying their membership or organizing with the club a repayment plan if required. All players have had plenty of time and been plenty of warning of what will happen if memberships werent paid. The ball is now in your court so come and pay your membership or miss out on a game this week

Best: Jason Huhn, Shane Roughan, Ricky Otoole, Barry Otoole, Michael Fedke, Andrew Spengler, Jed Potter, Shane Manning, Mark Stewart
In front of a big crowd the seniors continued on their winning way registering a comfortable 34 point victory. Backman Jason Huhn played his best game for the club with some desperate defence and plenty of run off the half back line. Rogues up forward early and moved into defence late in the game got plenty of the ball and mopped up well in both positions. Onballers Rick, Bazza, and Jed ran riot all over the ground picking up possessions at will and linked up well to clear the ball out of the middle countless times making use of another fantastic ruck display from big Stewy. Youngster Mick Fedke played a dominant role across the half forward line taking plenty of marks and slotting through a couple of goals. Last minute inclusion with a clearance Saturday morning saw ex Blue West player Andrew Spengler take the field and he quickly showed he will be a handy inclusion for the seniors this year with a standout performance on the wing and a polished skill display. For the second week in a row Manno ran riot up and down the wings showing off his fitness and snagging some quality goals ending up with 4 majors for the match. Toby Lindsay gets better every week with some great defence work and accurate kicking out of danger for his side. Mozzie back into the side was an asset being another player to cover a tall and played his tell tale gutsy game for his first game of the season.
Reserves Vs Bell Post Hill Corio 17-16-118 to 4-9-43
Goals: Troy Feldman 5, Shaun Gundry 4, Geoff Mitchell 2, Matthew Cullen 2, Leigh Cervanka 1, Amon Charles 1, Andrew Williams, Clint Eldredge 1
Best: Ben Drayton, Troy Feldman, Andrew Williams, Chris Laurie, Michael Baumann, Amon Charles
Apart from the aberration 3 weeks ago the reserves continue to play dominant football with a huge win over last years grand final victim Bell post Hill. Desperado Benny Drayton runs around like a Bull Terrier chasing a ball too big for its mouth and once again ran down the opposition with relentless endeavour putting on a heap of tackles and a stack of pressure on the opposition. Old fella Feldy didnt play like a 42 year old last week leading well and slotting though 5 majors. Willy the Womble got plenty of the ball and put on a class display of skills and avoiding his opponents with fancy foot work. Lozza continues to impress and rarely gets beaten reading the ball better than his opponents throughout the game. Veterans Bowy and Charlie were another couple of standouts in a side that could easily pick 10 best players every week.
U/18 Vs Bell Post Hill Corio 14-13-97 to 4-5-29
Goals: Dylan Taylor 10, Daniel Scott 2, Ash Cullen 1, Harley Hunter 1
Best: Stevie Lee, Dylan Taylor, Steven Grooby, Rhys Marshall, Kris McKenzie, Coby Zorkau
Dylan Taylor must of enjoyed watching our senior Captain Bill Nicholls boot 10 goals last week. So much so he thought he might just do that himself and managed the massive haul in a great display of marking and accurate goalkicking. Stevie Lee is another hard nut at the ball and never stops trying week in and week out. Steve Grooby got plenty of the ball and gave some great passes to leading forwards. Rhys Marshall in the best players once again is another hard nut at the ball and another player who gives his all every week. Kris McKenzie was another standout player for the team putting in a big effort for his side. Coby Zorkau has been improving every week and this week was no different catching the eye of his sides coach.
