Report from the Weekend!

We are now one step closer to securing a spot in the Grand Final with a classy win against the ever gallant Beulah side.  Kane and Harry got us off to exactly the start we needed with both some classy long kicking and also some easy ones due to mistakes on behalf of our opposition.  Malla was well and truly in the mindset for a finals match and was as fired up as I have ever seen him.  A few brain farts on his behalf aside he was instrumental in the first half as he lead by example.  Not to be outdone the second quarter saw our backline get peppered with attacks by Beulah as they clawed their way back into the game.  Matt Lynch was wrapped up in elastoplast like a mummy and did a good job of wrapping up his opponents as well.  After half time the wind dropped as did the intensity Beulah had found in the second quarter.  The second half come down to a battle of the fittest with our lads overpowering their opposition.  JC again had a huge workload over the ground but was still able to move forward to help out Matty Chicken and Kane.  JC was backed up with the return of Sticky Pole who was very much a welcome site.  Also great to see back was coach Tex who added some much needed strength into the centre.  Other notable players were Timmy Vallance who although didn’t need to laugh at the grass this week responded each time to his coaches wishes and stepped up his work around the ground.  Chopper was as solid as ever and it was great to watch him step around his opposition as easy as he did ten years ago.
