You don't have to play football or netball to be a part of the Demons family.

Volunteers are always needed, and there are so many tasks that no matter what your interests or skills we will be able to find something to suit you.

In the meantime you'll stay fit, be a part of a great social scene and maybe even add a few items of interest to your resume: As a volunteer there are a myriad of training and skill development opportunities open to you.

Some of the tasks currently done by our exceptional volunteers are: coach, scorer, netball umpire, goal umpire, boundary umpire, field umpire, trainer, runner, scoreboard attendant, timekeeper, grounds maintenance, cleaning duties, canteen helpers, beer booth attendant, gate entry attendant, fundraising helpers, events organisers, kitchen hands, bar staff, committee members, publicity and promotions, facilities maintenance, project managers...phew, the list just goes on and on.

In recent years our volunteers have undergone training including: first aid courses, trainers courses, responsible handling of alcohol certification, safe food handling certification. coaching courses, umpire workshops and courses...and on and on we go again.

If you're playing sport because you love it then it's worth remembering that none of us would get to take to the field or the courts each week if it weren't for our volunteers. They keep the show on the road, so to speak, and if we all help out a bit it lightens the load and makes the club even better.

Let's face it, we wouldn't be playing, we wouldn't have the facilities we've got, and we definitely wouldn't be heading down the rooms for a meal and a drink and enjoying the fantastic social activities that are on offer throughout the season.
