Prelim Final

Today we have travelled out to the picturesque Yinnar Rec Reserve for today’s all important Mid Gippsland Prelim Finals games, good luck to our Seniors,  Thirds, U15’s, D & C grade netballers & everyone involved on and off the field & court today.

In last weeks 2nd Semi Final clashes at Yallourn our A,B & U17’s netball sides and our Reserves all progressed through to next weeks Grand Finals, terrific effort East, well done.

From the Pres ... Well done to Giddos reserves and A, B grade and U17 netballers for winning and going straight into the grand final. Good luck to the Senior and 3rds footy sides and the C,D and U15 netballers today in the Preliminary Finals , don't save anything for next week today’s all that matters.

Anyone that can help on Grand Final day with the BBQ and Beer tent let Brian, Gavin or Pauline know today or during the week.

Box’s Seniors:   We went down to a more determined side last week at Yall/Yall Nth. We need to bounce back today in a big way. Better players in last week’s game were Aaron Makepeace, Harleigh Aarons, Chris Riseley, Bruce Siddle, Luke Pavey and Jay Crofts.

Giddo’s Reserves:   The 2's had a fantastic win with the result set up in the first half.  The boys were switched on thanks to some inspiring words from a great clubman in Craig Francis.  Every player did their bit and now we have the chance to win the big one next week. Best Players were Mark Lawrence, Hughie Pepper, Adam Duncan and Troy Lock.

Trev’s Thirds:   The boys had a reasonable game against Thorpy at the weekend but could not hold off the run and skill of a more determined opposition. To loose in the last quarter is hard but we have to bounce back this week against Mirboo Nth to reward this seasons efforts with a grand final appearance. GOOD LUCK!!

INTERNATIONAL POWER NETBALL NEWS

Congratulations to our 17U, B and A grade girls for making it into this years Netball Grand Final.  A great effort by all, but particularly by our 17U team who have battled through with at times injuries to a number of players.  They worked hard on Saturday to get the result, but most importantly they did it as a team, as was the same with our B and A grades.  Both our 17u and our B grades just scraped through, our A grade however had a convincing win over Thorpdale.

Our 15U, D and C, have to do it again Today, adding just a few more grey hairs to their coaches. 15's will have to work extra hard as they have been beaten by Traf in the last home and away game.  D and C both take on Newborough who will be tough opponents.  All sides realise that it will be do or die for them this week.

Give it your best shot and remember, team work is the key. Good Luck girls.  Enjoy!
