NEW PLAYERS IN 2009

I would like to fomally welcome all new players to the Bambill Football and Netball Club. 

We currently have a number of players that have been successfully cleared to the club. 

Both the football and netball sub-committees have been extremely active in their recruiting and we are all hoping for a successful 2009.

FOOTBALL RECRUITS

CHRIS McDONALD - A strong backman who has been recruited from South Mildura.  Chris will add height and experience to the Bambill backline.

DAVID PICKETT - An onballer who is extremely elusive and always has time.  Picko has been recruited from Merbein and has excellent foot skills that always hit a target.

BRETT HAASE - Brett is well-known around Sunraysia footballing circles and is still going strong in his career.  Brett will be a welcome addition to the Bambill forward line.  He has been recruited from South Mildura.

KYLE HAASE - The son of Brett.  Kyle is a tall, athletic running player who is looking forward to having a year of senior football with his father. Kyle has been recruited from South Mildura.

RICKY SYLVIA - Ricky is a small, quick running player who will be a very handy acquisition for the Bambill side.  Ricky played junior football with South Mildura and will add needed pace to the Bambill side.

JARRATT FARLEY - Jarratt has recently been captain of Merbein.  He is very much looking forward to commencing his coaching career with the Bambill FNC.  Jarratt is an on-baller/half-back who will add grunt to the side.

MATT BUNNEY - Matty, like Chris, is a strong backman that will hold down a key position player in the opposition forward lines.  Matt has been playing full back for Irymple and will be a good acquisition for Bambill.

DENNY FOX - Denny is a welcome acquisition to the Bambill Football Club.  With the loss of Ryan McLelland, Denny adds experience, height and a long list of football achievements that will support all players at the club.

NEV THOMPSON - Nev has been recruited from Charlton and is a strong, aggressive type that attacks the ball hard.  Nev can play many key positions and is another player that can add height and variety to the list.

ANDREW GIBSON - Gibbo has been recruited from Merbein and is the type of player who can play anywhere.  He attacks the ball with ferocity and has shown high intensity during training and match day.

NETBALL RECRUITS

TAMMY WARN - The wife of Craig but don't hold that against her.  Tammy has returned to the netball court after having a few years off.  Tam is a versatile player who can play many positions on the court in both A and B Grade.

JANNA TAIT - Janna has previously played with Mildura Football Netball Club and has been a welcome addition to Bambill.  She can play all positions and will provide experience, leadership and a high level of ability.

ANGE FARLEY - Ange has come along to Bambill from Merbein.  Ange is a shooter who can also play wing attack.  Ange will provide coaching experience and good leadership skills to the club.

EMILY REYNER - Emily is a defence player who can also be used in attack.  Emily has shown throughout the Pre-Season Practice Matches that she is going to be an effective acquisition for the club.

BIANCA BUNNEY - Bianca has joined Bambill after playing with Imperials last year.  Bianca is young, quick and has an excellent eye for goals.  Like many of the Bambill netballers, Bianca can play many positions on the court but has shown outstanding promise as a goal attack.
