First semi Final Match Report
What an exciting and emotional day for all involved. Our victory by one point in the last minute of the game is something I will never forget for many reasons.
When I was around the same age as you guys and girl, my parents separated. I didn't get to see my Dad that much and he didn't get to see me play footy at all. Today I was fortunate to have him at the game with me as his sister is ill from cancer.
Not only did he get to see one of the most gutsy performances from such a young team, he witnessed parents and grandparents coming up to me and thanking me for what a great night we had on Friday and, the great job done with the team.
After the game he shook my hand and said great job coach ( To me that meant a lot ).
So I would like to thank every one involved at the Rye Junior Footy Club for giving me this opportunity and especially to my players. What a fantastic bunch of kids. I am so very proud of every one of them.
Unfortunately 1 hr after the game my dads sister, my aunty, passed away. "I know you read these dad so my thoughts are with you”.
So once again I thank you all.
GREAT WIN GREAT TEAM
Blair.
