Senior Football

LUCAS WHITE:  Assistant Coach & Captain, a much decorated player, B & F Shepp Swans and runner up GVFL League Medal, VCFL, GVFL & MFL Representative.  Can play in a number of positions, key position forward or back, as a ruckman or ruck rover.  A true leader plays it hard but fair and gets plenty of it.

MATT ROBERTSON:  Strong and extremely quick, as good in the air as he is on the ground.  Extremely hard to match up on and can play anywhere, a very dangerous player.

BEN SHIELS:  Mobile big man, has played mainly in the forward line kicking 64 goals this season, can play back or in the ruck.  At his best when leading strongly.

BEN PHELAN:  Has played mainly at CHF but as a very mobile and quick player can play anywhere.  His trade mark tackles and quick reflexes makes him exciting to watch.

JON-ROSS CARDILLO:  Plays as a small specialist forward and one of Tocumwal's main goal scorers last season.  This season has proven to be less consistent and although showing the same skills and ability in patches he hasn't been able to put it on the scoreboard.  His natural ability will always put him on the selectors radar as a player that could bounce back in the big one.

PETER COCHRANE:  Very good at ground level and has an enormous spring if needed to take that grab.  Clean pick up and enormous pace is his best strength, another exciting player to watch.

SEAN LOGIE:  Smart footballer with silky skills, past B & F of the club.  High possession winner and very effective when finding a target both hand and foot or finishing off with a goal.  MFL Representative.

DAVID FARRELL:  Renowned for his attack on the football and enormous work rate, prepared to back into packs or meet them head on, whatever it takes to win the football.

LUKE CHAPMAN:  Playing at fullback, he has never backed away from the challenge that is presented each week.  Plays tall for his size with his enormous leap and possesses good judgement often saving goals on the last line of defence.  Can go forward or play on the ball when the side needs a lift.  MFL Representative.

LEE WARNETT:  Assistant Coach & Vice Captain, dual O'Dwyer Medallist 2008/2009 and Tocumwal B & F.  A high possession player and getting hard in and under is his trade mark.  Has the respect of the club as being one of the toughest but fair players seen at Tocumwal.  MFL Representative.

TIM GARLICK:  One of Tocumwal's youngest players at 15 years is an automatic selection.  He always keeps his feet and is a very good decision maker.  Has played back and forward and also on the wing, his discipline and defensive skills make him a good option as a tag as well.  MFL Representative.

MICHAEL HARE:  A very talented, quick halfback flanker.  Consistent possession winner and has the closing speed to both shut an opponent down and win the ball.  Good skills both sides of the body and very attacking.  MFL Representative.

JARROD KELLY:  An onballer with plenty of pace, strong at ground level and a fierce tackler.  Very good at keeping his feet and staying in the contest making him rarely beaten one on one.  Skilful and uses the ball well.  MFL Representative.

CHRIS PATTEN:  Another young player who has made a good impression this year, making numerous under age representative sides.  Very skilful and a good decision maker, a player of the future.

JOSH ROBERTS:  Strong over the ball with the ability to win the contest even when out numbered.  Possesses plenty of pace and can play forward, back, wing or on the ball.

MICHAEL TINKLER:  Talented young local player who has played mainly with Assumption College Kilmore this year, playing in the winning under 18 grand final side on the MCG.  If injuries or other circumstances open the door, he would surely be an asset for Tocumwal in their quest to win the game.

JONATHON ANDREW:  Rewarded this year for his consistent effort in the reserves with a hand full of senior games, bobbing up for some match winning goals and a solid effort in defence.  He has played a valuable role in getting the team to the grand final and would give his best if selected.

NICK MELLINGTON:  A young up and coming ruckman, who throughout the year showed he has a big future.  Good skills and very good down low for a big man.  Struck injuries at the end of the season which has been costly.

TRAVIS HAYNES:  Ruckman that came into the side late in the year and had to carry the ruck duties on his own.  His efforts certainly helped Tocumwal retain their top position and prove him to be a worthy selection, holding his spot until the 2nd semi.  If selected he will continue with his usual solid performance.

KEN CHELLEW:  Experienced ruckman that will give everything, hard working and a penetrating kick of the ball, can go forward to kick a goal.  His competitive attitude will get the most out of himself, which showed in the 2nd semi.

JEREMY CARDILLO:  Hard working backman who's prepared to put his body on the line.  Always desperate to win the ball or spoil his opponent.  Has good skills and will be keen to play his part for the team.

BEN WARNETT:  Very steady defender that can handle the pressure.  Strong over the ball and keeps his feet.  Hits hard and tackles strongly, just gets in and the jobs done.

GLENN DUNDOVIC:  Started playing round 6 and has managed to kick 76 goals.  Although he is more noted as a strong mark and accurate long kick, it is when he brings his ground work and second efforts to the game that he stamps himself as a dominate forward.

SCOTT BALDWIN:   A veteran of over 250 games, he is a consistent solid performer, a backman that rarely gets beaten and shows his experience when spoiling, marking or delivering the ball to a team mate.  Prepared to do whatever it takes to help the team win with the minimum of fuss.

ANTHONY MELLINGTON:  Played with Fitzroy and North Melbourne.  Came to Tocumwal and successfully played as a key forward last year.  Proving his experience and flexibility, it is at CHB this year he has dominated.  As an athletic and mobile big man he could be used anywhere and has the skills to carry it out.  MFL Representative.

ASH CRAWFORD:  Mobile big man that has played both forward and back, good skills and can take a strong mark.  He is another player that can be slotted in where needed and handle the task at hand, as he has done all year.

DENNIS PEDEMONT:  Versatile, playing at both ends of the ground this year.  Strong over the ball and in the air.  Penetrating kick which often hits his mark.

BEN WILSON:  Playing mainly in the backline, it is when he backs himself and attacks the ball that he is most effective.  Will give his all when on the field, has been used on and off the bench for most of the year.

NATHAN O'CONNELL:  One of those players that makes the most of his ability, works hard at his fitness and it has paid off.  Can be used as a tag or an impact player, will keep trying to the end and loves to kick a goal.
