ST. ARNAUD NETBALL CLUB – OFFICE BEARERS 2009

The St Arnaud Netball Club recently held their AGM and office bearers have subsequently been elected for the 2009 season.

The Club has for the past few years been under the expert guidance of Geraldine Cornwell as President, Trina Summers Secretary and Sharryn Dunlop Treasurer.  Trina and Sharryn have once again been re-elected to their respective positions with Geraldine stepping away from the President’s role.

Geraldine has put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into her role as President and the club wish to thank her publicly for all of her time and effort.  She has always gone above and beyond.  Geraldine is staying on as Grants Officer, a role which Geraldine has excelled at gaining many grants to assist with various projects around the club.

Given the magnitude of the Presidency role the Club has taken a different approach for the 2009 year creating a Joint Presidency Role which has been filled by Erin McCarthy and Natalie Knights.

We are already off to a great start for next year with Mel McLean and team organizing the local Shopping Spree night which was a fabulous success, thanks very much Mel and also a huge thank you to all the business owners who participated.

Other appointments that have been made so far are the senior coaching roles which will be filled by Mel McLean, Anne Ezard and Sheree Burke.  The senior coaching team will be looking after A B & C Grades for 2009.

It has been pleasing to have so many new faces on our committee and we certainly have a wonderfully supportive and cohesive group.  We hope to build on the positive platform that already exists within the club and hope that parents and players will involve themselves wherever possible to make 2009 a great success.   The committee has shown great support to the new executive members, and we all look forward to a year of achievement for the St Arnaud Netball Club.
