WELLINGTON SHIRE COMMUNITY GROUP OF THE YEAR

The Woodside Wildcats have been awarded "Community Group of the Year" by the Wellington Shire in their "Australia Day 2009 Awards".

The Award is a Shire wide award and the Wildcats are very proud to be the recipient.

President Anthony (Macka) Banik, along with Treasurer Mick Triantafyllou, accepted the Award on behalf of the club in front of a large crowd at the Memorial Park in Yarram on Australia Day.

Macka thanked all of our Sponsors, Members and Supporters along with the Woodside Community for getting behind the Club and our efforts to provide a safe and family friendly environment for sport.

This award vindicates all our efforts and should put paid to the few who have continued to malign us.
