About Us

The Gembrook Cockatoo Football Club is one of the most progressive clubs in the Yarra Valley Mountain District Football League. Located in the small town of Gembrook, the club has grown to become one of the most respected clubs in the competition.

In 1998 the club changed its name from the Gembrook Senior Football Club to its current name. Nothing has changed; the club is as strong as ever and in 2000 saw it produce its most successful season for many years, with both the senior and reserves sides, winning the Yarra Valley 2nd division Grand Finals.

Since the year 2000 the club has come along way in it's journey towards playing Division One football. In 2004 the club played in the Division 2 Grand Final, being successful and moving on up. The club is now a successful division one prospect on and off and is looking forward to the upcoming 2009 season with high expectations.
