Round 2
The girls also braved the cold conditions at Gembrook and were looking to register their first win after losing to Mount Evelyn the previous week. In a high scoring first quarter Silvan took the early lead but some missed chances saw Gembrook gain momentum and shoot 12 goals to our 7 giving them a handy quarter time lead.
The 2nd quarter was very even as the girls tried desperately to stop the opposition scoring freely. They managed to shoot a further 8 goals but Gembrook just pipped them with 9 for the term giving the home side a 6 point gap.
Our girls were not out of it and they showed great fight in the 3rd quarter adding 10 goals to 4 which saw the sides locked together at the final change in what was a great fightback. Both sides had their chances in the last but the 3rd quarter revival took its toll on our girls as they began to tire and with no interchange players we fell away to be beaten by 3 goals, 6 goals to 3 in the final quarter in Gembrooks favour. It was a good effort by the girls and will give them plenty of confidence going into the remainder of the season with a win hopefully just around the corner.

Final Scores: Gembrook 31 Defeated Silvan 28.
