The Upwey-Tecoma Football Club was formed in 1946 and competed for the
first time in that season in the Mountain District Football Association,
finishing that inaugural season in second place. The forties were to be a
very successful period for the Club as that runner up finish in 1946 would
begin a run of eight consecutive years in finals competition with two
premierships - 1947 and 1948 - and two runner up finishes to complete a fine
first four years for the Club.

The
Club's success during the '40s continued during the first part
of the next decade with finals appearances through to 1953, although
without the icing on the cake of premierships. While the Club could
look with pride a having played in finals in each of the club's first
eight
the latter part of the '50s were very disappointing and it would a new
decade for the Club to taste success again.

Note: For whatever reason, this
decade is the one for which we have
the least detail. However, we are still working on it. Any hints would
be
most welcome.
