The Mosgiel Association Football club are getting ready for yet another fantastic season ahead and are hoping to get the top two spots in the Premier League.

We would like to extend a warm welcome Ron Omerivic as the clubs new President with continued support of the committee members.

We are yet again fortunate to have our experienced coach Mike McGarry coach the premier team which is great news for all our up and coming players. Mike has now coached the 1^st team for the last few years and we are extremely appreciative of his input to the club. We would also like to welcome Patrick Howell as Manager for the 1^st team, who will be supporting Mike. The 2nds can look forward to coaching from Andrew Brook with the help of Marty McCorkindale.

We would like to acknowledge Morgan Day, Regan Coldicott and Mathew Brooks for representing Otago this summer in the National League.

Our Mosgiel Masters (Men) won GOLD and had the privilege to play on the Forsyth Barr Stadium. Our Women’s team came away with Bronze so also did well. Congratulations to all those players who represented Mosgiel Football Club.

Mosgiel has 7 senior men’s teams 3 being Masters and 1 senior women’s team, we have allot of juniors entered in the local competition and also including Midgets. This is a good representation across the board.

The Club rely on the hard work put in by the committee and coaches to keep our club up and running. As you will be aware this is all done on a voluntary basis and without this support there would be no club. Each year we are also faced with the financial strain of being able to purchase equipment and also the general costs of the running the club (Electricity, rates, insurances, etc)

Our 100^th Centennial is taking place ANZAC weekend next year which is a huge milestone in the club. We have formed a special committee to help with the organizing of this, if you would like to join in please let us know. Registrations will be done online and will be on the website in due course. At this stage it’s looking like this will be a great event, details to be confirmed.

Once again a big thanks to YOU because without your support we would not be able to continue the Mosgiel Soccer Club which is a huge asset to our community.
