Our District Senior Fours 2013 Winners
On Thursday 24/01/2013 A team from Bateau Bay who had come together for the first time won our District Senior Four for 2013. This event had 35 teams participating, all good competative bowlers.
Rhonda Taylor,Judi Spano, Judy Bambury and Jill Streher set off to Halekulani Bowling club to play their first round which they won very convincingly unfortunately against another team from their own club. Tuesday morning they were off to Avoca Beach Bowling club and won their next two rounds.
At Bateau Bay we were all very excited, all of our other participants had been eliminated and our Stars were to play the next round which was the Semi Final and the venue was our own club.
Thursday morning all four ladies played beautiful bowls to secure a spot on Thursday afternoon in the Final. They played against a very experienced team from Ettalong Memorial Club.
Our ladies kept up their marvellous form to win with a very healthy margin.
