Pre Xmas training was a two sided sword. On the sharp side was the consistent high level approach to training by a core group, and on the blunt side was the unfortunate inconsistent numbers at training. For this club or organization to reach the top it takes every individual to commit to the cause, play there role and make sacrifices. Anything less will see the mission fall short. From the president to the committee, coaching staff, captain, best player, new recruits, up and coming junior to the bloke selling hot dogs, everyone has a role to play. The more individuals that share the load and do there bit the easier the task of this club and the more enjoyable the environment we are a part of.
I love nothing more than an individual having the fortitude to say "I'm going to be the best I can". And following this through with an uncompromised preparation and approach to what ever the task may be. I look forward to watching and tutoring those individuals that have the courage to make a difference to their lives and the club. We cannot win a premiership over the next few months but we can certainly blow our chance of winning one.
The Norwood Football Club has come a long way in a short period. Coming through the divisions and playing finals in Division 1 has been an enormous effort. I'm sure there was great excitement and expectation come the finals last year with disappointing results. The challenge now is for everybody to improve. This will only happen with an unconditional "club" effort.
Once again thanks for the welcome and I'm really excited about the upcoming season and enjoying the company of all the Norwood family members on and off the field.
Lets make 2013 the best year in the clubs history !!
"DEMAND SUCCESS - DO YOUR BIT"
P.s Thanks to the Woodsman for putting on a magnificent pre xmas Bbq and drinks.
