WELCOME TO SEASON 2013
On behalf of the Warners Bay Football Club committee, I would like to welcome you all and hope you enjoy the 2013 season. This introductory information should be used by all players and parents to assist with getting the season started. The registration period can sometimes be a difficult time, so if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the committee. In 2013 all player registrations will be done online by the individual player (parent/guardian) prior to coming down to the ovals. For more information including a step-by-step guide please check out the “Player Registration” section on our website. Online registrations are now open. There will then be registration finalisation days on Sunday’s 3rd & 10th February from 9:00am till 2:00pm for people that are unable to pay online. Your online registration and acceptance MUST be completed prior to this day. Payments can be made online but there is a three per cent credit card surcharge. There is also a three per cent credit card surcharge if you pay by credit card at the club house.
A schedule of the Registration fees for 2013 has also been posted on the club website. The fees are broken up showing how they are distributed. Please also note that a player will not be registered unless full payment is made on the day of registration. The Club is limited in its ability to assist anyone that may find it difficult to pay the registration fee at the time of Registration. Should anyone find themselves in this situation please contact the club registrar.
Game Leaders & Instructing Referees
Anyone from u12’s up to and including u17’s who are interested in being a game leader or instructing referee please check out the information sheet in the “Small Sided Football” section on our website.
Coaches and Managers
Those wishing to coach or manage a team this year need to complete a coaching application form, coaching application forms will be supplied on registration days. The coaching application form needs to be submitted by completion of the last day of registration. The Coaching Coordinator will advise all applicants if they have been successful. We also require that all those nominating for a coach or manager position provide an email address to enable us to supply any and all information direct to each team via the coach and/or manager.
Child Protection Act
All persons working with children are required to complete the working with children check form. Team Managers will be provided with the children check forms which all parents must sign. It will be the Coach and Managers responsibility to ensure that all forms are completed and returned to the Secretary.
Team Identification / Player Grading
For all players from u6’s & up please see the “Player Registration” section of the website for team identification and player grading dates (if applicable). Only players that want to play in development teams will be required to grade all players however will be required to attend the team identification day. While much effort is put into grading players, sometimes children can be missed. If at the end of grading or team identification you feel that your child is not in the correct team, you may put it in writing to the Secretary, and the grading committee will look at him/her again. This decision will then be final. A player’s grading can be changed up until the third competition game.
All players need to have shin pads, boots and be ready to train and play.
The grading schedule may change subject to weather & the number of players that are available.
All junior/senior/women’s competitions will commence on the weekend of 13th April 2013. Although this seems a long way off, all teams have to be graded and registered with the Macquarie Association in early March.
