Reward Program
West Volunteer Points Rewards Program
Why: During the last several years of being president and several years as vice president it has become painfully obvious that the club is always run by a dedicated few people. This program is designed to help run, not only our club, but also help with the Maryborough federation and also wide bay zones and above. As you are aware, all positions in our club are volunteer positions and because of the low number of volunteers, you will surely end up doing more than you wish to do. This can have repercussions not only throughout our club, but also within the dedicated volunteer’s family. It is worth remembering that volunteering has many benefits and can be very rewarding and fulfilling but needs to be time managed.
The answer to a successful club is to have many volunteers helping to maintain, coach, develop, strengthen and grow the club. I am proposing that we consider a loyalty rewards program within the club to help develop a strong volunteer culture and develop mateship among our members. It is well known, this is achieved not only at training and games but also through social fund raising events and club social functions.
I sincerely hope this program is taken on board and supported by both members and parents to obtain the maximum support at all levels of our club.
Points Program:
The points reward program we are proposing is as follows.
- For every hour of volunteer work 1 credit point will be awarded to you.
- Anyone who volunteers will be eligible to claim credit points.
- The credits accrued over the year are redeemable at the end of the year or can be used at the start of the following season.
- Points can be redeemed through purchases of merchandise, payment of fees etc.
- Set points will be offered for positions in our club and also in our federation and our zone.
How are the reward credits paid for?
The only way any or all credits can be redeemable at the end of a season is, if Maryborough West Football Club fundraising committee raises twice the amount of money as the total credits to be paid out.
Examples follow.
-
Scenario 1 Club Credits at season end 3545
Dollars fundraised at season end 5324
No volunteer credits redeemable 0
Club credits at season end = 3545. Multiply x 2 = 7090. Fundraising amount = 5324. The fundraised amount is less than double the club credits.
-
NO club reward credits will be paid in this instance.
-
Scenario 2 Club credits at season end 3545
Dollars fundraised at season end 7105
All volunteers credits redeemable. 3545
Club credits at season end = 3545. Multiply x 2 = 7090. Fundraising amount = 7105. The fundraised amount is more than double the club credits.
