Also the boys had their first hit out at the gym.

Afterwards a few of the boys got down to our great sponsors 'The Commonwealth Hotel' for a beer, feed and some entertaining Karaoke.

Also a BIG thankyou to all the Players & Supporters for getting down to No.1 sportsground, to show their support for Groover, in his huge 14hr day.

Next lap, was to be only Groover and Stubbsie as they walked and talked some unfinished business. Fittingly the very last lap was to be Groover and Tim Callcott, who has helped Groover from start to finish.

Courtney Knight is to be congratulated also as Courtney ran one of the running legs with Groover, which was 12 kilometres long...a fantastic effort Courtney!!!

Blues First Grade Carry Club Hopes into GF With the Ressies dropping out last Saturday, First Grade will carry the club hopes for 2008 into Grand Final day. Mixed Results for Blues Finals Contenders Our Blues finals teams have had mixed results during the semi final rounds.

Under 18s have bowed out of their season after the narrowest of losses; 1 point, to Terrigal in their first semi. The boys tried hard in difficult ground conditions and with the early loss of Josh Nesbitt but couldn't overcome a more deterimed opposition. Nonetheless, the boys have done us proud again and we look forward to seeing them celebrate our season on presentation night and then hitting the track next year.

The ressies also suffered a narrow 3 point loss to Cardiff in their major semi. It was a great game of reserve grade football to watch; close all day with some good skills and tough play on display. Again, our boys have done us proud but they have another chance to get to the big one and prove their class when they front up against Warners Bay in the preliminary final next week. Go Blues!

The highlight of the finals for us so far was the First Grade defeat of the previously undefeated Cardiff in their major semi. It was a strong, disciplined display and will give our boys some confidence going into the Grand Final in two weeks time. Well done boys and prepare well for the big one!
