The recent AGM of the Penrith AFC saw the election of a
new Board.
The club is pleased to announce the composition of their Board for the 2008 season as:
Chairman - Michael Haynes
Planning & Development - Stuart Ayres
Football Operations - Doug Freeman
Under 18's/Junior Development - Greg Corless
Admin/Finance - Roger Cheeseman
The club would like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing Chairman Joe Bradley for his sterling work over many years, culminating in his awarding of Life Membership of the club, along with his wife Sue, at the recent Presentation Night. We would also like to thank Justin Brock, who along with his wife Kerry, did a mountain of work in helping keep the club on an even keel in the past two seasons.
Incoming Chairman Michael Haynes is excited at the new energy that the Board has already shown. "We identified at the end of the season that the first area we needed to shore up was our administration, and we left no stone unturned to find the right people to help get this club back to where it deserves to be" he said.
"Doug brings a wealth of football experience from both here and Melbourne, and he has had a heavy involvement with the Talented Player Program over a number of years. Greg has a mountain of experience and great recognition and respect amongst the local junior clubs through his work with the Emu Plains Lions, and he will be vital to our efforts in focusing on our U/18's program and junior relationships in general." he continued. "Roger is another who has had plenty of involvement in local football in a number of roles, and we were wrapt that he decided to put his hand up."
