Uni Rebels Women's League team notched their third win in a row after defeating Lightning. It was a slow start for the both sides going scoreless for the first 4 mins of the game, then after a time out the Lady Rebels opened up the flood gates and finished the first half with a 5pt lead 20 to 15. The scoring onslaught continued in the second half and combined with great team defense they held Lightning to under 30 pts and finishing the game 54 to 28. The Rebels scroring was led by Ambah Kowcun(16) and supprted the playing coach Jaylene Boundry(10) and veteran Chantelle Lee(9).

Uni Rebels Men's side cruised to an easy win over Ansett coming out to a 21pt lead to end the first half 47 to 26. Good defense, great ball movement and outside shooting was the key to seal a 86 to 45 victory. The Rebels attack and defense was orchestrated by Marcus Ch'ng supported by the accurate shooting from Jake Kirby(17) and Larry Hamil(14) from the outside, complemented with great post moves by Tom Uppena(11) and highlighted with a couple of breakaway jams by Tyler Jefferson(36) who scored from everywhere on the floor.
