Uni Rebels Women's League Round 12 Results
It was a red letter day for the Rebels supporters and the DBA community, they all come down celebrate Rebels playing coach Jaylene Boundry's 300th game. DBA Operations Manager Reece Turner spoke about Jaylene's outstanding playing career and basketball achievments, then presented her with a plaque to recognise her 300th League games in the DBA. After the the presentation Uni Rebels went to work to secure a win against TV Jets. The Lady Rebels kept it close in the first 5 minites of the game going point for point, but TV Jets slowly pulled away to a 14 to 7 first quarter lead. The Rebels side kept working hard to try to close the gap and was able to end the first half just 9pts down 28 to 19. With Danielle Ponter out with left ankle injury and Kiki Tilmouth currently away, the Uni Rebels found it hard to find points in the third quarter being outscored by the opposition 18 to 10 ending the third quarter 46 to 29. Edith Boundry(16) and Jaylene Boundry(13) had a never say die attitude going in to the fourth quarter and kept battling until the end winning the last quarter 19 to 18 but going down 64 to 48.
