Round 18 Uni Rebels Men's League Game Review

With key players unavailable to play and injured, Uni Rebels Men's Team suffer their secong loss of the season against the hand of Lightning. Rebels big man Tom Uppena was away interstate, captain Marcus Ch'ng was unable to play because of injuries and Tyler Jefferson still limping from an ankle injury suffered last Friday, the Uni Rebels side was not able to keep up with Lightnings scoring in the first quarter going in to the first break 20 to 14. Then in the second quarter Lance Schmidt had to leave the game because of work commitments and also lost Jake Kirby to injury left the Rebels Men's down to 6 players and ended the first half 37 to 27. But the Rebels side kept battling hard and was able to close to gap within 8pt but could not stop Lightning from getting their points ended the third quarter 51 to 37. new player Bradley Radovic(17) and David Ronchi(14) picked up the scoring duties for Rebels supported by Larry Hamill(12) and Tyler Jefferson(6) still shot 2 three-pointers playing on one good leg. But Lightning was the better team today taking home the win 73 to 56. Hopefully all injured Rebels players recover before their next game against Eagles on Thursday October 29, 2015 at 8pm.
