Week 9 Recap For Uni Rebels League Teams
Uni Rebels Women fielded a young side last nite with a coulple of Rebels juniors making their League debut. Aaliyah Lee daughter of Chantell Lee and Tiahne Clarke daughter of Rebels Legend Letticha Clarke both showed promising talent in their first game in top level. It was a slow start for both teams in the first quarter going in to the first break 7 to 6 with a 1 point advantage for Rebels. Razzle women kept it close and finished the half 20 to 18. The Lady Rebels made some ground in the third quarted going on a 15 to 11 run to end with a 35 to 29 6 points advantage. Rebels keept in control in the last quarter and went on a 16 to 15 run and won over Razzle 51 to 44. The Rebels scoring was led by Tulaha Jeffery(14) and supported by playing coach Jaylene Boundry(13) and Edith Boundry(13).
Uni Rebels Men stormed out to a 22 to 6 lead to end the first quarter. Rebels managed to maintain the lead in the second quarter with a few thunderous dunks from JB Pillard and ended the half with a 49 to 15 advantage. Uni Rebels continued to out scored Razzle 28 to 19 to end the third quarter 77 to 34. Uni Rebels cruised in the fourth quarter and went on a 28 to 15 run and defeated Razzle 105 to 49. Rebels attack was led by JB Pillard(57) supported by Jake Kirby(16), Larry Hamill(11) and David Ronchi(10).
