League Women - Uni Rebels v Ansett          

Ansett dumped the Uni Rebels 83-61 to grab a share of third spot on the ladder with the Rebels. The Blues are a mere .34% pts behind the Rebels. Carolyn Nyhouse (16.1ppg) & Ruta Valiulyte (10.9ppg) hit 25 each to help the Blues power to victory as the team continues to make huge steps forward in their quest for a Grand Final spot. The Blues are on a four game winning streak and will be tested in their next two games which are against the Tracy Village Jets. The Blues held an eight- point lead for most of the game, but broke it wide open in the last quarter with a 27-13 run to finish up. Clancy Dorman (11) & Amelia Short (10) lent support for the Blues while the Uni Rebels were led by Jaylene Boundry (8.4ppg) with 19, Jasmyn Hewett 18 and Jaylene Bonson 13 (15.2ppg).

League Men - Ansett v Uni Rebels

Tim Morris (32.3ppg) scored 34 and Spencer Coleman 21 (24.3pg) as the Uni Rebels slipped past Ansett 92-74 to grab second place on the ladder on percentage points over the Blues. The Rebels are now 7-1 (4th in a row) since a round 5 defeat to the league leading Eagles and will go into the playoffs on 2 June with a very good chance of making it to the big dance on the 17th of June. The Rebels had built up a 12 point lead by half time at 49-37 and kicked it up to 71-51 by the end of three quarters. The Blues got 32 points from Max Davies (16.3ppg) and Jerron Jameson (33.5ppg) hit 23, but that was the extent of their big scoring output. Morris and Coleman had help from Jake Eyles with 11 and Marcus Ch’ng 10.
