League Men - Uni Rebels Vs TV Jets
An outstading come from behind performance by an undermanned Uni Rebels team only fielding 6 players. Rebels Men struggled to come out of the blocks with an abysmal 10-22 first quarter. Rebels could not get the momentum going in the second quarter and ended the first half 26 to 45. The third quarter was a different story when the scoring opened up for Uni Rebels in the third quarter spearheaded by Josh Brown (35pts) who sparked the Uni Rebels comeback by scoring 6 points in 6 seconds. Supported by Jay Hardy (24pts) and Jake Kirby (8pts); Uni Rebels found good form and started to catch up then took the lead from Lightning 52 to 51 with 0:25 left in the third. Rebels Men maintained the momentum and maintained control in the final quarter with help from former Nightcliff Tigers team captain Adrian Murphy (4pts) who debuted in his first DBA League game. Adrian gave Rebels some needed defensive pressure on Lightning guards and timely rebounds. Uni Rebels was able to hold on to victory over Lightning 72 to 70.
