A special night for Uni Rebels League Men celebrating a Career Milestone for Rebels Legend Jamie "Larry" Hamill for equaling the All Time League Games Record of 745 currently held by Alex Hamriding. With the abscence of Rebels Captain Jake Kirby, Larry took on Floor Captain duties for the night. But Rebels Men did not start well with a lot of miscues on offense and defensive lapses going down 2 to 12 in the first five minutes of the game, but Rebels Men started to heat up and finished the first quarter 20 to 22. Uni Rebels fell slightly behind in the second quarter and finished the first half with a 34 to 41 deficit. Rebels Men had a huge third quarter and rallied back to take the lead 56 to 55 to end the third quarter. After a good talk during the last break from the Rebels coaching staff; Uni Rebels pulled away in the fourth quarter going on a 25 to 22 run led by new American player Jayson Nwisienyi (27pts), Jay Hardy (25pts), Shannon Bartlett (20pts) and Larry Hamill (3pts) who hit a three point buzzer beater in a crucial point in the game. Uni Rebels was able to secure the win over Ansett 81 to 77. League Women - Uni Rebels Vs Ansett
Uni Rebels just come away with the win against Ansett after leading all game 57-55. Girls kept running and pushing every minute. With Kaitey Whittaker on 5 fouls in the start of the 4th quarter girls lost their height. This was anyone's game but the girls kept their cool and played their game. Uni Rebels being up by 1pt in the last minute every possession they got they ran the shot clock down. Chantelle Lee went to the free throw line and put the team in front by 2pts. Ieasha Friel lead the team with 19pts with Shavayah Lee and Kayllah Motlop with 9pts each.
