League Men - Eagles Vs Uni Rebels
After a three week lay-off; Uni Rebels League Men's where eager to get back in to League action this week. Rebels came out slow and lacking intensity in the defensive side by not able to secure defensive rebounds which gave Eagles an 14 to 15 edge to end the first quater. In the second quarter Uni Rebels changed to a zone defense and manage to control the boards over Eagles and finish the second quarter 39 to 28 with Rebels import Jay Hardy hitting a half court buzzer beater to end the half. Uni Rebels kept the defensive intensity in the third quarter and started to push the ball more and finish infront 70 to 51. Led by Jay Hardy (28pts) and supported by Jason Nwisienyi (22pts), Jake Kirby (19pts) and Adrian Murphy (11pts); Uni Rebels had control of the game till the final buzzer and ran away with the win in 78 to 64 with Rebels Legend Larry Hamill (3pts) hitting a 3-point bomb in the last seconds of the game.
