A solid performance by an undermanned Uni Rebels team only fielding 6 players and a playing coach. Rebels Men started alright defensively and finish the first quarter with a 16 to 13 advantage. Rebels maintained the momentum going in the second quarter and ended the first half 29 to 23. The third quarter was the same story for Uni Rebels as they maintained the lead 42 to 36 to end the third quarter. Spearheaded by Jay Hardy (28pts) who sparked the Uni Rebels in the fourth quarter and supported by Jason Nwisienyi (14pts) and Jake Kirby (7pts); Uni Rebels caught fire and extended the lead to 15 points and defeated Lightning 60 to 45 and securing a spot in the final four.
