Round 2 Results For Uni Rebels League Teams
League Men - TV Jets Vs Uni Rebels
After a poor performance last week Uni Rebels League Men bounced back this week against TV Jets, both Uni Rebels and TV Jets wore black arm bands tonight in memory of Rebels junior player Matteo Lee. Rebels Men started out well going point for point with TV Jets and ending the first quarter up 24 to 22. In the second quarter Rebels started to pull away a bit by finding the goal consistenly and ended the first half 51 to 37. Uni Rebels tightend the defense more in the third quarter and went on a 21 to 12 run and extended the lead to 72 to 49 going in to the last break. Uni Rebels showed a balanced attack led by captain Jake Kirby (17pts) and big man Jason Nwisienyi (17pts) and supported by Jay Hardy (12pts) and Adrian Murphy (11pts); Uni Rebels Men was able to secure their first win of the season over TV Jets 87 to 63. Uni Rebels debuted another Junior player tonight in Daniel Yak (8pts) who brought alot of energy in defense and great feel for the flow of the game. Congratulations on you first League game Daniel!
