A slow start for Uni Rebels League Men placed them playing catch up against Essington when they came out to a 3 to 13 deficit, but Uni Rebels manage to find defensive composure in the last 4 minutes of the period and finished the first quarter 16 to 24. Rebels maintained the defensive intensity in the second quarter and finding some structure in offense they ended the first half 41 to 45. Uni Rebels fought back in the third quarter led by Rebels new import Shian Bradshaw (27pts) and supported by John Hardy (20pts) and Derrick Scott (14pts); Uni Rebels was able to take the lead to 7 pts to end the quarter 68 to 61. But Uni Rebels Men where unable to secure the win because of too many turn overs and inabiliy to score points in the last 3 minutes of the game led to a 82 to 86 defeat to Essington. Next Uni Rebels League Men game will be Friday against Ansett.
