League Men - Palmerston Vs Uni Rebels
It was a great contest between Uni Rebels and Palmerston in the DBA League Men action last Friday night, Rebels started out well matching Palmerston's energy but fell behind 10 to 16 to finish the first quarter. Palmerston maintained the advantage in the second quarter and extended the lead to 10 points as they ended the first half 26 to 36. Uni Rebels was unable to close the gap in the third quarter and fell behind some more and went in to the last break 42 to 55, Led by Rebels big man Jason Nwisienyi (26pts) and supported by Derrick Scott (16pts) and Jay Hardy (16pts); Uni Rebels was able to tie the game up to 68 all with 1:29 left in the last quarted. But Uni Rebels was unable to score in the final posessions and lost to Palmerston 68 to 71. Next Uni Rebels League Men game will be Saturday against the high octane offense of Razzle.
