League Men - Razzle Vs Uni Rebels

An under manned Uni Rebels side who only fielded 5 players went up against League leaders Razzle last Saturday night. Rebels started out slow falling to a 0 to 9 hole against Razzle but manage to gain some composure to end the first quarter 18 to 26. Razzle maintained the advantage in the second quarter and extended the lead to 10 points as they ended the first half 37 to 47. Uni Rebels put in some work in the third quarter and was able to get within 3 points and went in to the last last quarter 58 to 61. Led by Rebels big man Jason Nwisienyi (30pts) and supported by Jay Hardy (23pts) and Derrick Scott (13pts); Uni Rebels showd great heart and excelent team defense but where unsuccessful to make up for the 0-9 deficit early in the game and lost to Razzle 78 to 87. Next Uni Rebels League Men game will be Thursday against TV Jets.

 

League Women - Uni Rebels Vs Razzle

It was back to back wins for the Rebels Womens. 19 - 10 lead at the first break. Rebels coaches asked for more defensive pressure and movement on offensive side of the ball. Rebels ladies went into main break with a 45 - 24 lead. More movement on offense and defensive pressure in the 2nd half saw the team take a 91 - 43 win over Razzle. Ieasha Friel top scored with 26 points followed by kayllah Motlop with 20. Captain Chantelle Lee wound back the clock with her defensive pressure and even a double pump layup. Great team effort
