League Men - Uni Rebels Vs Palmerston
Uni Rebels Men's started out slow against Palmertston and was looking at a 0-7 deficit in the first 2 minutes of the game, Rebels Men's started to find the basket but Palmerston was able to keep the advantage and finish the first quarter 13 to 20. Rebels defense started to come alive in the second quarter and managed to chip away on the Palmerston lead to finish the first half 29 to 33. With big man Jason Nwisienyi in foul trouble early Rebels Men had a tough time stopping Palmerston center Willie Shackleford (38pts) but was able to get close 33 to 34 in the first first two minutes of the third quarter but lost control and let the lead baloon up to 40 to 55 to end the third quarter. Uni Rebels tried to fight back in the last quarter and cut down the deficit to 52 to 59 with 5 minutes left in the game led by Jason Nwisienyi (15pts) and John Hardy (12pts). But Palmerston was just too good for Uni Rebels Men tonight and eventually lost the game 56 to 73. The lost drops down Uni Rebels to a share of fourth place on the ladder with Essington. Next Uni Rebels League Men game will be Saturday March 9, 2019 against ladder leaders Razzle.
