The Sandringham Dragons would like to congratulate James Stewart and Tom Temay on being drafted at the 2012 AFL Draft.
James Stewart was the first Dragon picked in the 2012 AFL Draft at pick 27 by the GWS Giants.
AFL Website Player Assessment: Tall forward with outstanding agility for his size. Very poised with his disposal by hand or foot and can play at either end of the ground or through the midfield. Has good game sense and natural pace. Is eligible for father/son to Collingwood, where father Craig played. Represented Vic Metro in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships with his best game vs TAS gaining 23 possessions including 15 contested and six marks. Graduate of the AIS-AFL Academy.
Tom Temay was the second Dragon picked in the Draft at pick 35 by the Carlton Blues.
AFL Website Player Assessment: Small defender/midfielder who is a great competitor and is rarely beaten in a one-on-one contest. Prolific ball winner for Vic Metro averaging 18.8 disposals at 77.3% efficiency in NAB AFL Under 18 Championships. Father Paul played 52 games for St Kilda.
