Therry embarked on a training camp at Bancurra Beach

On Saturday the 14th of March, the Therry Penola football club players and staff alike ventured to Bancurra beach,  about a 10km hike from Barwon Heads. It was a training program designed for create a sense of bonding and link between old, current and new players alike. Throughout the morning the players engaged in a series of tough fitness excersizes to test their mental and physical limits. From torturous dune climbs to a bi-athalon the players pushed themselves to their personal limits. "It was great to see the boys who have been down the club for years engage with not only the new boys but also some of the younger guys who don't mingle with the senior boys as much" said coach Dan Madden. "I was very happy with the way the team pushed themselves, and hopefully it will be a sign of things to come this season" he further went on to say. The day ended with a lunch at Bancurra Live Saving Club followed by Dinner at Barwom Heads Hotel. The club would like to thank all the players and staff who attended on the day including Head Coach Dan Madden and Ash Mills for all the hard work and preparation as well the Bancurra Surf Live saving club for providing a base to set up at; as well as one of our official sponsors Barwon Heads Hotel.
