On the 21st of March Therry had their first hitout of the season against Parade whom also hosted the match. It was a day of 3 games beginning with a curtain raiser of the u18/19's against Vermont. Therry 18/19's performed strongly throughout the day before a last quarter fade out. Coaches Steve Gumley and Rod Egglestone were pleased with the performance against a much stronger opposition.
At noon the reserves had their first hitout against parade reserves. The game was hotly contested with strong winds making the game dependent on which side of the ground both teams were kicking with. In the end Therry proved to be a bit too strong running out winners by 5+ goals. Lee 'Chicken' Hollow was the standout with 6 goals. Coach James Saunders was delighted after the match with his teams' performance. "It was nice to see the boys come out and play some strong footy not long after losing a grand finl by the smallest of margins" Saunders said.
The last game of the day was the seniors encounter with Parade. The game from the outset right through to the end was goal for goal with at the final siren Therry holding a slender margin of 3 points. Amongst the best was Rick Skiathidies and Steve Morgan whom proved a dominant force in the ruck all day.
Daniel Madden, Head Coach was delighted with the win quoting "It was a solid performance for the first hit out of the season. We still have a long way to go but i see real potentional in regards to where we are heading with this particularly talented group".
