First posthumous Life Membership remembered above most things for his legendary Best Clubman acceptance speech in 1987. Tireless worker as our first timekeeper and regular committeeman both at Football Level and College Level in the early years. While his passing was a great loss to the Club in 1994 and still felt very much by the writer, every time I look into the glazed eyes of our passionate players whether it be at 3.00pm on a Saturday afternoon or at 3.00am on a Sunday morning I can see Dad. A great example to all that there is NO time or period in life when you should stop contributing.
