To do this person justice the commentary can only be around a celebration of his fantastic life as he lived it – not how it tragically ended. Mark was everything that a Coach could dream of. An individual who's personality never varied in terms of making such a long distance, long term commitment to a Club he had no previous association with but loved like no other all the same. A friend to all who was a pleasure to deal with; a player of understated humility that had the remarkable ability to always play big in the big games. Mark's indeniable cheeriness, his good humour and his scintillating skills, belying his age, was of constant amazement. The irony of a football Club is that Mark never left, he stays with all of us as a permanent presence as opposed to those who may bring closure to their stay and do move on. With Mark always still there then there will always be a need and a reason to have a home for him to be.
