BACT - Health Notice Update - Monday 16th March 2020
Basketball ACT held an urgent meeting with the Finance and Risk Management (FARM) committee on Sunday 15th March in relation to the current advice surrounding the COVID-19 virus.
A decision has been made to cancel all remaining games for the 2019-20 summer competitions, and to suspend all other programs until further notice. This will include:
- all junior and senior competitions
- high performance programs
- Waratah League
- school and development programs
- casual shoot arounds
- postponement of start of senior Premier competitions
In relation to the current junior season, further communication will be given as to how this effects results and current standings, as well as any financial implications for cancelling of events.
All club training sessions and trials for 2020 winter will still be going ahead as planned until further notice.
