A new look Bulldogs side has started 2015 in similar fashion to previous years, enjoying the top spot on the CAFL ladder in the early stages. Yet again, they remain the only unbeaten side and will look to continue and build on their performances in their quest to go one step further than 2014.
The early rounds of the CAFL season can be hard to measure but getting off to a good start has helped the Bulldogs finish top of the table the last two years and earn the right to play in the Grand Final as a result of winning the minor premiership. Losing last year's decider to the Eastern Blues proves that getting to the final dance is only half the battle, with momentum and building towards the end goal the Bulldogs number one priority this time around.
Highlights have been coming thick and fast for the new breed this season, many of them individual blunders, balanced with some moments of brilliance.
The coaching panel will be losing one of the most influential Bulldogs personnel to grace the club both on and off the field, Todd Andrews. Over a six year period Todd has won virtually every award on offer at the club and has served in virtually every administerial position, short of being President.
His efforts include but are not limited to, Bulldogs Best and Fairest, Bulldogs leading goalkicker, Captain/Coach/Superstar, Premiership winning player, Training Co-Ordinator and (allegedly) Co-Secretary. His services will be greatly missed as he chases his dream of working for an AFL club, taking up a position in Tasmania as a stepping stone towards that dream.
Match Reports will be posted by the Monday following the game at the latest, owing to this year's coach/player/social media manager/public relations officer/social events organiser/recruiter/title seeker's rather busy schedule. They will have accurate descriptions of the game as well as creative editing to ensure the truth does not get in the way of a good yarn.
