2020 Winter League Registration
2020 TSS SUNS BASKETBALL LEAGUE WINTER SEASON INFORMATION
The 2020 GCJBL competition commences on the 26th of February 2020 and runs through until the 12th September. (Please see the Calendar for dates below). The season will feature four rounds of grading, 14 games and Semis and Finals.
Registrations will close on the 30th of January @ 5.00 pm
Trials will be on the 31st of January (exact times TBA)
Competition Nights
U9/U11 Boys and Girls – Saturday Mornings
U13/U15 Boys and Girls – Friday nights
U17 Boys Division 2,3,4 – Friday nights
Open Girls (U13-U20), U20 Boys, U17 Boys Division 1 - Wednesday Nights
Age Groups
(1st January-31st December)
U9 Girls & Boys - born 2012 or later
U11 Girls & Boys – born 2010-2011
U13 Girls & Boys – born 2008-2009
U15 Girls & Boys – born 2006-2007
U17 Girls & Boys – born 2004-2005
U20 Boys – born 2001,02,03
Open Girls – 2008-2003
Trial Dates and Times:
All trials will be held on the 31 January (exact times TBA)
Training Times:
Training will be at TSS Centenary Centre and times will be released once coaches have been allocated for each team.
Coaches and Team Managers
For us to enter teams into competitions each year, we need to have Coaches and Managers. TSS Suns will provide an accredited Coach but we will need team Managers for the season.

2020 TSS Suns Pay Structure
All players must be registered with Basketball Queensland and Gold Coast Basketball to play as well as pay TSS Suns Club Fees.
Below is breakdown of the payment options for this:
2020 Basketball Queensland/Gold Coast Basketball Junior Registration Fees
All players must pay the Gold Coast and Basketball Queensland component of $130.00 (players 10 years and older) OR $80.00 (players under 10). Please be aware returning players may already be registered until a later date in 2020 so DO NOT PAY AGAIN.
These payments are reflected on the registration form in two separate payments below and cover each player for 365 days.

Basketball Queensland Registration - $64.52
Gold Coast Basketball Registration - $64.23
Total $130.00
Players Under 10
Basketball Queensland Registration - $32.26
Gold Coast Basketball Registration - $47.11
Total $80.00

Part payment option:
First instalment $125.00 is to be paid on registration by selecting part payment (this includes people paying with the "Get Started or Fairplay Voucher")
1/2/20 - 2nd Instalment $125.00
1/3/20 - 3rd Instalment S125.00
These costs include, all game/training/trial fees, administration, team registration to BQ/GC Basketball.
Please note, you will not be able to participate in ANY trials unless you have registered and paid your Basketball Queensland, Gold Coast Basketball and TSS Suns payments.
Uniform
Due to the gradual loss of TSS Suns uniforms over the last few years the club will no longer be supplying free playing singlets or tee shirts.
As from 2020 all players will need to purchase a double sided singlet from First Ever at a cost of $60 at https://www.firstever.com/clubs/tss-suns.
There is also an option to hire a singlet for the season at the cost of $50.00 while stocks last. At the completion of the last game that uniform will be handed back to the club and players will receive a $35.00 refund into their nominated bank account. Please send an email to request a loan singlet and provide bank details directly to tsssunsbasketball@gmail.com
All players must wear plain navy blue shorts no pockets or logos.
We do not wish for players to miss out because of financial hardship, we are more than happy to organise a payment plan to suit.

2020-2021 Representative Season
To be eligible to represent Gold Coast Basketball in the Basketball Queensland Junior Basketball Competition (Rep) and to be eligible to participate in all semi/final games all players must play a minimum of 50% of games in the 2020 Winter GCJBL Competition. Summer League is no longer an eligible competition to gain eligibility to play rep.
