Katie Cordingley joined the Kyabram Football Netball Club in 2011 as a member of the strong B Reserve side where she played predominantly at Wing Defence. Katie is well respected amongst her team mates and was identified as leader in just her third year at the club after being named captain of the 2013 B Reserve side which made it to the Grand Final. Katie played a pivotal role in leading her team to the 2013 Grand Final by not only coming second in the club best and fairest but was also named the most valuable player throughout the finals campaign.
Katie is the type of player every coach wants in their team receiving 2 coaches awards within the past 4 years she has been at the club. She is fully committed and dedicated putting in the hard work not only at training but during her own time and is prepared to train with the other teams in order to further her development.
In 2015 Katie was appointed as the B Reserve playing/coach which currently sits second on the ladder and will be a strong contender for the 2015 flag. Katie has done an outstanding job as coach in her first year along with her Dad Jim who is the most dedicated team manager we have seen in a long time. Congratulations Katie on your 100th game. Bring home those Texan chocolates.
