The Huntly Football Netball club welcome Ash Wilson, as senior coach to the home of the Hawks for Season 2011. Ash comes to the club with a vast amount of football knowledge both from a player and a coach’s perspective. Here is a little of his history. He coached the LVFL under 21 representative squad in 2010.
Played and coached in Wandella’s back to back premierships in 2008 and 2009. Has played for Eaglehawk for 4 years and was the assistant coach to Derrick Filo. He has been an interleague representative for the Bendigo Football League. He has played and coached Kerang and represented the Central Murray Football League at interleague level. He won the club Best and Fairest in 2002.
Ash has also played for Kangaroo Flat for 9 years (1991-1997) and (2000-2001) where he was the assistant coach with Derrick Filo (2001). Once again he was a Bendigo Football League Interleague rep and he was selected in the Victorian Country Squad. He played in Kangaroo Flats ’96 Premiership.
And he played and coached Mtiamo to a flag in 1999.
Ash Wilson will be an asset to the Huntly Football Netball Club in 2011. Go Hawks!
