Ben Scott confirmed his place as the Stawell Mitre 10 Warriors' recruit of the season with a six vote victory last Saturday night's senior best and fairest count.
Scott, who dominated through the centre for the Warriors and was a huge part of their success in 2008, polled 44 votes to win out over Wimmera interleague representative Paul Hanns on 38 votes.
Warriors captain and defender Ben Williamson (28) was third ahead of wingman Jack Duke (24) and Isaac Rathgeber (22).
Joel Freeland secured the reserves best and fairest by a single vote from runner up Trent Leslie.
Freeland polled 31 votes for the season to finish narrowly ahead of Leslie (30) and Fred Greene (28).
Kate Power took out the Warriors A grade netball honours with victory over Jessie Antonio.
Chantal Thomas won B grade from joint runners up Erin Cody and Naomi Hunter, with the Naomi's efforts quite remarkable after she missed half of the season with a knee injury.
Maria Flood (A grade) and Michelle Elvery (B grade) won coach's awards.
Stawell Mitre 10 Warriors leading junior footballers and netballers were honoured at the junior presentation evening last Friday.
Lauren Iseppi was crowned the 17 and under netball best and fairest from Sarah Morris, while Maddi Jelly beat Leah Homden (15 and under A), Meaghan Armstrong finished ahead of Emily Davis (15 and under B) and Caitlyn Baird was clear of Lisa Fleming and Ellen Williams (13 and under) in the other grades.
Coaches awards were also presented to Shelby Grant (17 and under), Meg Newton (15 and under A), Bethany Griffiths (15 and under B) and Carlia Byron (13 and under).
Cam Kimber completed a runaway victory in the under 17 football best and fairest, winning by 19 votes to Jesse Eckel. Tom Price was most consistent.
Ash Cowen was also a big winner of the under 14 best and fairest from runner up Tom Eckel, with David Morris most consistent.
