The Manly Warringah Australian Football Club is looking for senior Coaches for both Division One and Division Two of the Sydney AFL for Season 2010.
We are looking for Coaches with previous experience who can continue the growth of the Club over recent years, with a view to providing a clear pathway for all players wanting to play AFL on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
Candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of modern AFL coaching methods, very good communication skills, a positive community club attitude and a strong sense of teamwork with the Coaching Panel. There will be a Team Manager and Operational management to support Coaches of each team.
The Sydney AFL was restructured in 2009 and the Manly Wolves now has a team in Division One, which is the level immediately below Premier Division (the highest level of AFL in the State other than the Sydney Swans).
As the competition is now divisionalised there will also be promotion and relegation based on performance providing every team and Club with the incentive to perform at the highest level.
Following another successful season both on and off the field with the Manly Wolves playing in Div One and Div Four finals, the Club is looking to consolidate the recent growth of the playing strength in all four grades in 2010. The Club also has a Division Four and U18’s team in the competition.
As the only Senior AFL Club on the Northern Beaches the Manly Wolves have a large catchment area to recruit players so be part of this exciting growth phase of the Club. We are also currently redeveloping both our home ground and Clubrooms at Weldon Oval, which will be completed early in the 2010 Season.
