Manly Wolves bounce back in Round Two

Our Round Two home game was a special tribute day for Mitchell Fagan who passed away on Saturday 4 April. As a mark of respect there was a minute silence observed before all four games, thanks to the AFL for their support.

The Wolves U18 side started the day in fine style with a 39 pt victory against Parramatta leading from start to finish. Stand out players were Harrison Houlihan, Cam Gello and Jeremy Pilat. Well done to Deano and all players, we are in the four so let's keep the momentum going for the rest of the season.

With Mitch's brother, Darren playing in the Div 4 game, this was the feature game on the day. The boys really got behind Dazza and Coach Rob Manning and produced a scintillating 6 goal first quarter and we never headed for the rest of the game. Fittingly Dazza was BOG with Nana, Owen and Flynn adding support to ensure a convincing 45 pt win.

There were many members of the Fagan family in attendance for the game and Dazza was presented with the match ball signed by the players, a banner signed by everyone from the Wolves and some Club merchandise as a small token of our condolences. Thanks Parramatta, West's for supporting the day.

Our Division Two team put on a brave effort but could only get to within 16 pts of HP. Best Players were Sparksey, Cam Green and Andy Whitelaw.

With several players returning our Div 1 team was keen to erase the memory of our first game and came out of the blocks quickly in the 1st Qtr kicking 9 goals. They went on to record a pleasing 168 pt victory against West's with Nathan Darvill kicking 7 goals, Jabba 5 and Robbo 4 goals. Best players were many but Jabba, Ty, Blakey stood out and Matt Ahern got the Coach's award.
