In a stellar display by all Manly Wolves players who mastered the windy conditions well, with the four teams tasting victory on the weekend. They all shared in the Club celebration free feed & drink at training on Thursday night.
Coach Dean Purtle and Manager Rod Wills have now organised a squad of 30 players for the U18's and the results are starting to show. Coming off a narrow loss the previous week the boys were determined to win and got home against ECE by a narrow margin of 7pts. Best players were Ryan Wearne, Cam Gallo, and Joe Ross. Well done boys let's keep up the winning form.
Our Div 4 team responded well to the loss against Mac Uni and won by 20 pts against spirited opposition from Nor West. With four wins under their belts they are sitting just outside the four on percentage so looking good so far. Best players were Dave Peterson, Craig Bigelow and Adam Conroy with Scotty Addicott returning with a bag of 5 goals.
Div 2 Coach Justin Waters (Juzza) is finally starting to see some stability with team selections and with some experience returning to the side had a much deserved 45 pt victory over ECE. Amongst the best players in a team effort were Ben Atkinson, Andy Wright and 'old timer' Matty McWhirter.
With the return of Coach Daryn Cresswell (kicking 4 goals) and former Capt Kurt Hayward our Div One team started well with the strong breeze and established a good lead maintaining this for the game against Pennant Hills eventually running out winners by 52 pts. Best Players who took out the weekly awards courtesy of Rebel Sport-John Jarvis, Frankie's Hair Salon - Tom Atkinson and Blue Water Cafe Craig Pridgeon.
We welcome Penrith and Campbelltown to Pittwater Oval this week as the Div One team take on our neighbours North Shore. May Footy and the Wolves be the winners. Ladies Day coming up on Sat 30 May, Pittwater Oval.
