NAB congratulates Marelle Sharpe from the East Sydney JAFC NAB AFL Auskick Centre for being selected as the state winner of the NAB AFL Auskick Volunteer of the Year Award for NSW/ACT.
Recognised for her outstanding commitment to the East Sydney JAFC NAB AFL Auskick Centre, Marelle is one of seven NAB AFL Auskick Volunteers from around the country to receive the award.
As coordinator and president, Marelle has played a key role in Footifying the youngest stars of the game by driving recruitment of Auskickers and developing a strong volunteer base at her centre.
Marelle (and a guest) will be rewarded by NAB with two days of hospitality in Melbourne during the qualifying finals where they will enjoy a money-can’t-buy AFL experience.
The prize includes an exclusive tour of AFL House and VIP attendance at an official AFL function.
NAB has been Footifying Australia for over ten years through NAB AFL Auskick, the NAB AFL Rising Stars Program and NAB Challenge. In many ways, they have supported some of the AFL’s greats from the grassroots up, whilst growing the game in all corners of our great country (not just on the big stage).
Through support of the NAB AFL Auskick program, NAB continues to Footify Australia; genuinely growing the game at a grassroots level and supporting tomorrow’s stars of football. Every year, over 170,000 children across the country are ‘Footified’ through NAB AFL Auskick.
