New playing guernseys, umpires for the lower grades and lower fee for players that play fewer games in the season are the highlights of the 2015 budget. Player registration fees have also been adjusted to create equity in all divisions.
As pledged, the super effort to perform catering duties at last seasons finals series has seen all teams rewarded with new player guernseys in 2015. All jumpers have attracted sponsors and all the details will be announced at our season launch on Saturday 28 March at Club Bondi RSL.
One of the realities of the Bulldogs playing at the highest level in Sydney, is that the top grades are provided with official umpires; while lower grades and Stingrays women's teams usually miss out. Umpire allocations are not controlled by our club, even though we pay handsome fees for these services. To address this imbalance and to retain flat registration fees across the divisions, this season's budget will provide funds to pay for umpires for lower division and Stingray fixtures. This will stop the need for players to sacrifice games to perform umpire duties and for the club to avoid fines.
After much discussion and healthy debate from all parts of the club, the following player registration fees will apply in season 2015. Fees remain much the same as last season. So with the gross registration fees, plus some healthy sponsorship and an enjoyable social and events calendar, we are planning on a break even budget for the year.
